Hands-On Faith for Families – Week of March 9, 2026

Theme: Peace from Jesus

Scripture: Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

Play: Encourage your child to play photographer by pretending to snap pictures of the passing scenery. Tell him to choose to take “photos” of peaceful scenery or things that make him think of peace.

Talk: God gave us many earthly things to see and enjoy that are peaceful, like falling snowflakes, soaring birds and colorful sunsets. But sometimes we hear the siren of a police car or an ambulance or hear a story of fighting on the news, and it reminds us that our world isn’t always a peaceful place. If we have Jesus in our lives, though, we can be filled with the peace that only He can give (John 14:27). We can experience His peace, no matter what’s happening around us. In what situations do you need more of His peace?

Pray: Pray for the peace that can only come from God so that you will not be troubled or afraid when bad things happen.
