Lyric Video for Phil Wickham's Powerful 'Homesick for Heaven

Feeling nostalgic? Then you’ll love this new lyric video for Phil Wickham’s powerful ‘Homesick for Heaven.’ There’s something about the quiet hum of a long ride that pulls us back into reflection—back to the winding roads of our lives, the ones we’ve walked through joy and sorrow, birth and loss, laughter and waiting.

That’s where Phil takes us in his new, amazing video takes us.. It gently whispers our longings—just like those holy moments we’ve lived and loved and buried deep in our hearts.

In the video, Phil sits alone, traveling by bus through America’s heartland. You can almost smell the rain on the road. The camera pans over quiet landscapes—fields brushed with gold, barns weathered with stories, and long stretches of road that feel like prayers. And there he is, quietly watching, reflecting... as if he’s listening for the sound of heaven in the stillness.

And then he sings:

‘My heart belongs to a country and a King,
Of a land I’ve always known.’

Something about that line catches you in your chest, doesn’t it? Because we know what that ache is.
It’s the longing we carry after the kids have grown. It’s the quiet we sit with after funerals. It’s the tears we cry when no one else is watching—when the world keeps moving but something in us aches for what’s eternal.

It’s not just nostalgia. It’s the soul remembering where it truly belongs.

At this age and stage, we’ve seen enough of life to know it’s beautiful—and broken. We’ve lost people we didn’t want to say goodbye to. We’ve held hands tighter than we thought possible. We’ve learned that nothing here satisfies the way Jesus does. So when Phil sings about being homesick for heaven, we understand.

This lyric video isn’t just a piece of music—it’s an invitation to remember. To remember that we were made for more. To recall that heaven isn’t a fairy tale—it’s a forever place. And it’s realer than the hard things we’ve walked through.

Watching Phil quietly ride and reflect, you begin to feel it too—that hush of eternity pulling close. That gentle reminder that the aches, the questions, the gray hair, the time slipping through our fingers—it’s all leading us Home. Because the older we get, the more heaven starts to feel like a place we know.

So let the tears come. Let your heart long. Let the song wash over you like a memory you’ve almost forgotten—but not quite. Let your heart long for heaven and let it fill with the joy of what we will feel one day!

Jesus is preparing that place. And one day soon, our hearts will finally be at rest.

Until then, we hold the longing. Because longing means we’ve loved deeply. And that love? It leads us home.

“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Philippians 3:20

Praise and Worship Team's Stirring ‘Available’ Cover

You’ll be wowed and amazed by this praise and worship team's stirring ‘Available’ cover. It’s no ordinary worship service. Watch the clip to see their incredible and dedicated performance.

First Baptist Clarksville in Tennessee gave it their all in their performance of Elevation Worship’s ‘Available’ last week. With two women leading vocals, an entire choir of backup vocals, and musicians on the piano, guitar, and drums, the performance is altogether beautiful, moving, slow, and sweet.

The song is all about obedience to God and listening for when he calls. When he asks, the answer is nothing other than “Yes, Lord, I am available.” It echoes Paul’s letter in Romans 12:1, which speaks of being “a living sacrifice” for God. We are called to be available to him, listening for his will.

Some of the lyrics are:

‘Broken as my life may be
I will give You every piece
I hear You call
I am available’

The worship team sings the song with such steady care and intention. Each word is sung with reverence. First Baptist Clarksville’s worship team performs many other songs full of spiritual meaning that they share on their YouTube channel. Other videoed performances include ‘Gratitude,’ ‘Trust In God,’ and ‘Good Plans.’ The song, ‘Available,’ was significant for the church’s congregation because its pastor was about to speak on the future of their church.

The worship team “presented this song with willing hearts as a church to serve Jesus in any way!” the church explained

This performance is a powerful reminder that we are of importance to God. He desires to use us for his glory, but for that, we must be available.

“Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.” Deuteronomy 13:4

Big Daddy Weave ‘Have Your Way’ Lyric Video

Take a few moments at the start, end, or middle of your day and reflect while watching and listening to this lyric video of ‘Have Your Way’ by Big Daddy Weave. When a video is strictly about the words and the music, our attention is focused on the message. This one will inspire and refresh you!

Big Daddy Weave was formed in 1998 at the University of Mobile. ‘Have Your Way’ is one of the tracks on their new album, Let It Begin, released on May 23, 2025. The writing and recording of the work came about after a tremendous loss—following the 2022 death of Jay Weaver, Big Daddy Weaver member and the brother of Mike Weaver.

Mike credits his band members with helping him through a terrible time of grieving. Mike, along with bandmates Jeremy Redmon (guitarist), Joe Shirk (saxophone and keyboards), Brian Beihl (drums), and Raul Alfonso (bass) came together to work on their new record. Mike shared, “I can’t thank them enough. I can’t really put into words how they’ve ministered to me by walking with me and being patient with me.”

The lyrical video of ‘Have Your Way’ provides five beautiful minutes of pure spiritual encouragement! Let’s break it down. Big Daddy Weave names of Savior in the first few lines. He is wonderful, marvelous, glorious, and powerful. And, He is with us and alive in us. He is the King of Glory!

Like a spring in our steps, the music picks up a bit at 1:05. BDW sings, asking Jesus to, “Come Have Your Way.” The bridge at 1:40 invites Him to have His way in our hearts. They know that big life-altering changes begin in the heart.

At 2:15, there is a shift because Jesus is having His way. The words describe how His work and movement in our hearts result in huge changes within us—changes that are both felt and seen. Now that’s exciting! The sun shines through purple skies in the video, and the Son shines in broken and damaged hearts!

What does Big Daddy Weave do next? They thank God. They thank Jesus. There’s an invitation, a response, and an abundance of thanks. Big Daddy Weave’s fans echo the words of their song, asking Jesus, in their comments, to have His way in them or thanking Him for doing so.

Have a beautiful day!

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” Romans 8:11

Claire Leslie and Women Who Worship Soul-Stirring ‘Run to the Father’ Cover

Claire Leslie joins Women Who Worship in a soul-stirring performance of ‘Run to the Father,’ written by Cody Carnes, Matt Maher, and Ran Jackson. Cody Carnes recorded the song in 2018,  and it was released in 2019. Here, the women offer their take on the musical outcry for Jesus’s spiritual support and sustenance, as well as his surgical precision in healing our hearts.

Dressed in gold, white, and creamy tones, the ladies sing on a low stage. Behind them are stained glass windows, and five purple-pink orbs illuminate the space. It’s hard to tell how deep the space is, but the audience of women all stand and worship along with the artists. There are nine in the group, including featured singer Claire Leslie. Five play stringed instruments, one drums, one is a keyboardist, and two are lead singers. They are a spirit-filled and talented bunch!

According to their instagram page, Women Who Worship is “a celebration of female artists, songwriters, producers, and worship leaders using music to spread hope to the world.” With nearly 400 videos and 20,000 followers, this group of Christian leaders are accomplishing their mission!

Claire Leslie is a rising artist in the Christian pop music community. The San Antonio, Texas native is only 23 years old, but she began leading worship when she was just 14. Like Cody Carnes, Claire is a songwriter, too. Here, though, her beautiful voice is on display. Claire told Baylor Lariat that she is currently working on an album to be released in the fall and doing lots of shows and collaborations throughout the summer.

The first verse of ‘Run to the Father’ demonstrates the supreme need we have for Heavenly Father’s intervention in our lives. Here is that first verse:

‘I’ve carried a burden
For too long on my own
I wasn’t created
To bear it alone’

From the first notes of the song to the final moments—Claire’s eyes closed and her face turned Heavenward—we see her devotion, and it’s the entirety of the performance that resonates with viewers. The words, the brilliantly performed music, angelic voices, and the way in which the women praise their Father!

Commenters sing praises for the performance with user @WorshipUnityMusic writing, “Run To The Father with Claire Leslie is pure and real. The vulnerability in her voice pulls you straight into the heart of the song. It’s a raw reminder that no matter what we’ve done or how far we’ve wandered, there’s always a place to run back to. In 2025, this track still cuts through the noise and calls us home.”

Cotton Pickin Kids’ A Cappella Cover of ‘Down in the River to Pray’ Is Stunning

Listen to this stunning a cappella cover from the group Cotton Pickin Kids of the song ‘Down in the River to Pray.’ The singers in the group are all siblings, and the way their voices blend together sounds absolutely heavenly. Their rendition of this Christian folk hymn is sure to leave you smiling!

‘As I went down in the river to pray
Studying about that good old way
And who shall wear the robe and crown
Good Lord, show me the way!’

What a wonderful rendition of ‘Down in the River to Pray,’ and the location that they are singing at in the music video is just so beautiful! As the water flows down the rocks in the background, the siblings' voices flow together in seamless harmonies. Many people online also had the same thoughts about the voices of Cotton Pickin Kids.

“As good as you are as musicians, nothing can match the quality of these harmonious vocals. The Lord has richly blessed you!” comments one person online after watching the music video.

“Family harmony is great. It’s even more fantastic when it’s done acapella style. The Cotton Pickin Kids knocked it out of the park!” writes another person.

The Cotton Pickin Kids grew up in Alabama singing and playing bluegrass music in their family of 13. “As the saying goes, ‘Bluegrass is the best music because it sounds the same when the power goes out.’ Each child was taught at a young age to play various instruments, whether it be the guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, or harmonica. They would often play for family and social gatherings,” reads their bio on their YouTube page. What a wonderful way to enjoy using their talents – as a family!

We hope that you enjoyed this beautiful version of ‘Down in the River to Pray’ from the Cotton Pickin Kids today!

Worship Team Delivers Soul-Stirring ‘Sweetest Name I Know' Rendition

Worship team delivers a soul-stirring, ‘Sweetest Name I Know’ rendition that will stop your world from spinning. Sometimes, life spins so fast, you feel like you’re stuck in the middle of a washing machine cycle—twisting, tumbling, dizzy, and trying not to fall apart.

Those moments—the ones where your mind races, your heart pounds, and you feel just spun out—they come for all of us. Maybe more often than we’d like to admit. That’s when we need to pause. To breathe. To sit still. To remember what really matters. For me, that stillness often comes wrapped up in a song.

The ‘Sweetest Thing I Know’ reminds us where our refuge comes from and it will make your heart be still just as much as it does mind. When I hear those words…

‘I stepped in the water, the river of life
Got filled with the Spirit, now I'm satisfied…’

I’m reminded there’s a river of peace flowing beneath all the chaos. That Living Water is real. It’s not just a metaphor. It’s a lifeline. This song sings hope to the worn-out parts of us. It points us back to Jesus—the Lover of our souls, the Healer of our wounds, the sweetest name we’ll ever know.

‘Jesus, Savior, sweetest name I know...
Yes, He saves, oh.’

Those words hold weight and they hold truth.

In the midst of uncertainty, pain, or restless days, this song calls us back. Back to the present moment. Back to the One who never changes. It reminds us we are not alone.

We can testify—through every problem, every twist and turn—that God’s mercies are new every morning. That He is everything we need. That joy can bubble up like a fountain in the dry places of our hearts.

‘I've got peace like a river
Peace like a river in my soul.’

If you’re feeling scattered today, this song is your invitation to slow down. To step into the river of life that flows steady and sure. To find rest in the arms of Jesus. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll hum along too, feeling the joy and peace washing over your soul, steadying the spin. Because no matter what’s spinning around you, He is the sweetest name you can hold on to. And that is enough.

“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.”  Psalm 96:1

Slave To Sin (Feat. Prevale Billions)

Uplifting Cover of ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus'

This uplifting cover of ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus’ is food for the soul and spirit. It’s a sweet and thoughtful version of the song. Watch the clip to hear the joyful piece of music.

Though the song does have a somber lyric or two, Karl Gessler’s version is very upbeat and hopeful. It sounds cheerful and optimistic with its acoustic beat and gentle nature scenes.

The song is full of good advice and acknowledgment that God hears us when we talk to him. It also gives a nod to the day we won’t need prayer, because we will be with Jesus and will talk to him directly.

The hymn was written in 1855 by Joseph Medlicott Scriven. He immigrated from England to Canada and never married. He was engaged twice, but both of his fiancées tragically died shortly before their weddings. It’s said that Scriven wrote the hymn for his mother, who was suffering from an illness back in the U.K. Scriven also suffered from poor health throughout his life. Before he became a pastor and teacher, he trained with the military to go to India, but had to quit due to his ailments.

Some of the lyrics of ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus’ are:

‘What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!’

Indeed, it is a blessing that we have God to guide us throughout our lives. God carries our burdens for us. Joseph, in all of his suffering, knew that well.

“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” John 15:15

Family Delivers Soul-Stirring Acoustic ‘Goodness of God’ Cover

This family delivers a soul-stirring acoustic cover of “Goodness of God.” The youngsters beautifully perform the classic and beloved contemporary Christian music tune. Watch the short clip to listen to the talented group’s rendition of “Goodness of God.”

There are some songs, regardless of how many times you’ve heard them, that never get old and tired. These tunes are powerful and enduring, having withstood the test of time, which is the very definition of a classic. Anytime these songs come on the radio or are performed, without fail, you constantly find yourself either singing or humming along.

Likely, you can easily rattle off a handful of timeless classic songs. For instance, no one will argue that “Amazing Grace,” “10,000 Reasons,” “What a Beautiful Name” and anything by The Beatles and Elvis Presley are anything but classic tunes. No matter how often you hear those songs, you never get tired of them. Those lyrics, especially in the worship songs, will forever be powerful and full of meaning and emotion.

Another song that can be added to that list is “Goodness of God.” In a clip posted on YouTube, several youngsters perform that song, which is known and loved worldwide. It’s a classic for several reasons: It’s beautifully and powerfully written and the lyrics are accurate. We serve a merciful, loving and faithful God who is so good to us, much better than we deserve.

“’Cause all my life, You have been faithful
And all my life, You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God”

Unfortunately, everyone will experience painful, agonizing and heartbreaking situations. That’s a sad but simple fact of life. However, we can rest assured that God is faithful. He will never leave our side, and through His power and love, we will come out on the other side victorious.

Psalm 100:5 “The Lord is good, and his mercy is never-ending; his faith is unchanging through all generations.”

Megan Danielle's ‘Made For More’ Cover Will Touch Your Soul

Oh friend… I know. I know the ache. The kind that slips in slow, like fog curling around the edges of your heart when you weren’t looking. It’s the heaviness of doing all the things and still wondering if it matters. But Megan Danielle’s ‘Made For More’ cover will touch your soul. Especially when you’re standing in the grocery aisle reading headlines that steal your breath and thinking, How do we live in a world like this? Or maybe this will find you standing at the sink with the dishes while feeling like your soul is unraveling at the seams.

And then—this voice.

Megan Danielle. And this song. Oh my, how it takes your breath away. I love how simple it is. There’s no flash, filter, glitz, or glam—just her, standing in a white studio, denim on denim, heart wide open. She starts to sing, and suddenly something shifts, not in the world, but in us.

She sings, “I wasn’t made to be tending a grave…” and your hands pause, your chest aches, your eyes sting a little. Because maybe that’s what you’ve been doing lately—tending old wounds, guilt you didn’t ask for, shame you didn’t earn. Making a bed in the middle of your past and calling it home.

But this song? It reminds us. We weren’t made for graves. We were made for gardens.

And when Megan reaches the chorus, voice trembling and bold all at once, it feels like she’s singing just for us—those of us who forgot that grace runs wild and mercy doesn’t ask for permission.

You are not too far gone. You are not too tired. You are not disqualified. You, dear one, were made for more.

So let her voice pour over you like rain on dry ground. Let the hallelujah rise up in your weary places.

You don’t have to go back. You don’t have to stay stuck.

Grace is running your way.

And you—you were always meant to rise.

“Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” Ephesians 5:14

The Detty Sisters Powerful ‘Are You Washed in the Blood’ Live Rendition

Check out The Detty Sisters as they deliver their powerful rendition of ‘Are You Washed in the Blood.’ Here, the four sisters and their beautiful mother sing at Richmond Dale Church of God in Richmond Dale, Ohio. ‘Are You Washed in the Blood’ was written by Presbyterian Minister Elisha Albright Hoffman in 1878. The old song speaks of the most enduring, everlasting, and timeless truth—of salvation through Jesus.

From left to right, the girls are: Peyton, Cadie, Lily, Sophia (who is nicknamed “curly”), and their mom, Amber. The girls each began singing when they were very small in their home church, but in 2018, the family felt the Lord calling them to begin singing beyond the walls of their home and church building. That’s when they “stepped out in faith.”

Today, the Detty Sisters are booked well in advance to perform across the country, and they have 213,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel. These beauties use their amazing voices to spread the news of Jesus, and they give all the glory to Him.

Here is one verse from “Are You Washed in the Blood:”

Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

E. A. Hoffman, born in 1839, attended Union Seminary in Pennsylvania and spent many years preaching and serving at churches in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. Interestingly, the Detty Sisters are from Ohio. Elisha Hoffman died in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 90, having lived through the American Civil War and the Roaring Twenties. He wrote 2,000 hymns and edited over 50 songbooks in his lifetime!

We certainly hope that The Detty Sisters continue to use their voices, sing Mr. Hoffman’s inspiring lyrics, and share the message of Jesus throughout their lives. And, by the way, the four girls now have another sister!

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

Moe Bandy | 'Thank You Lord' (acoustic)

Texas honky tonk legend Moe Bandy is still putting out new music and touring at 81 years of age. He stopped our Nashville studio and gave us this performance of 'Thank You Lord.'

The Isaacs’ Stunning Take on ‘Gratitude’ Will Move You

The Isaacs’ stunning take on ‘Gratitude’ will move you deeply and leave you wanting to lift up your hands in praise. The song sounds beautiful, with the slightest country twang and plenty of string instruments. Watch the clip to see the wonderful praise to God.

“Gratitude” is a song originally written and sung by Brandon Lake. It’s a modern worship song with very thoughtful and soul-touching lyrics. The Isaacs' cover of ‘Gratitude’ is perfectly done in their unique way. The female lead's voice is gentle and elegant. It’s the kind of sound that stops you in your tracks to listen. Some of the lyrics of ‘Gratitude’ are:

So I throw up my hands
And praise You again and again
'Cause all that I have is a hallelujah, hallelujah
And I know it's not much, but I've nothing else fit for a King

The singer expresses how limited they are in their ways of showing gratitude to God. So they simply praise him with their voice and their hands. Though the gift may seem small, it’s not small to God. Brandon and his wife, Brittany, even wrote a book inspired by the song called “Little Lion Lungs,” which emphasizes that message.

"While this book was inspired by the words of the song ‘Gratitude,’ our hope is this story would embolden your whole family to show your gratitude to God for all He’s done,” Brandon and Brittany said of the message. “We pray nothing would hold you back, that you would throw up your hands, let your lion out, and sing out a Hallelujah in pure, abandoned worship to the one true King, Jesus.”

The Isaacs truly chose a wonderful song to cover. They sing it with such care and meaning with every word. Their take on it transforms it from a modern worship track into a beautiful country tune that is slow, soulful, and such a sweet gesture for God.

“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving,” Psalms 69:30
