Conservatives have scored a shocking upset victory in Wisconsin’s supreme-court election, with the win of Brian Hagedorn over liberal-backed Lisa Neubauer.

National Review reports Hagedorn’s win came this week in spite of a concerted left-wing effort to label him as a bigot and hater because he is a Christian.

In February, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel blasted Hagedorn because he had founded a Christian school that held to (gasp) Biblical doctrine on marriage.

Hagedorn was also ridiculed for giving speeches to the Alliance Defending Freedom, who has been dubbed a “hate group” by the now discredited and scandal-ridden Southern Poverty Law Center.

Still, Hagedorn won a decided victory on Tuesday, to the shock of those on the left and the pleasant surprise of supporters.
