President Trump received a lot of criticism after claiming that poor forestry and poor forest management is partly responsible for the devastating fires in California.
But, as the Daily Wire reports, months ago, California Gov. Jerry Brown sought to loosen restrictive logging regulations put in place to appease environmentalists -- a move that appears to have confirmed that Trump's recent critiques of state logging practices was correct.
Environmentalists in California have been pushing for years to make California's logging rules more restrictive, causing forests to be overgrown and at higher risk of devastating, fast-burning fires.
Despite his own embrace of new logging rules back in August, Gov. Jerry Brown balked at President Trump's suggestion that poorly maintained forests were to blame and, instead, blamed global warming for the uptick in fires.
