THE WOODLANDS, Texas (AP) _ Conn's Inc. (CONN) on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $18.2 million.

On a per-share basis, the The Woodlands, Texas-based company said it had net income of 60 cents.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 57 cents per share.

The retailer posted revenue of $405.5 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $382.7 million.
