PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say at least seven people including a 6-month-old child needed treatment after separate bee attacks in Mesa and Chandler.
Fire Department crews in Chandler say four people plus the baby were stung by bees near a store entrance at Chandler Fashion Center around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
All five were treated at the scene and fire crews used foam to douse a bee hive in a tree.
The second attack occurred about 6 p.m. in Mesa when at least two people were stung by bees outside a farmer's market.
Mesa Fire and Medical personnel treated the people at the scene as crews worked to eliminate the bee hive.
Authorities say none of the bee sting victims needed to go to a hospital.
