ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Joey Gallo has said he wants to stay with the Texas Rangers. The All-Star slugger and Gold Glove-winning right fielder also knows he could get traded in the next two weeks. The last-place Rangers are certain to get inquiries from contending teams about Gallo before the July 30 trade deadline. Texas will also be asked about All-Star right-hander Kyle Gibson. The rebuilding Rangers are 20 games under .500. The earliest Gallo could get a shot at free agency is after the 2022 season. Gibson is signed through next season.
