ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers have added two more pitchers to take to spring training. Right-hander Luís Garcia and former major league outfielder-turned pitcher James Jones were added with minor league contracts that include invitations to major league spring training. Garcia appeared in 64 games for the Los Angeles Angels last season after six seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies. Jones played 136 games as an outfielder for the Seattle Mariners in 2014 and 2015, but spent the past four seasons in the Rangers farm system. He has been strictly a pitcher since 2017, and last season was a Texas League All-Star with Double-A Frisco.
