On today’s edition of The Scott Jennings Show, Scott broadcasts from New York with a look at the stronger-than-expected August jobs report, rising healthcare costs and the economic argument Republicans could take to voters in the midterms, while also covering a First Amendment victory for independent journalists in Washington state and the mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy murder case. Republican congressional nominee Ralph Alvarado joins Scott to discuss Kentucky’s 6th District race, healthcare, affordability, public safety and President Trump’s agenda, while U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach weighs in on the jobs numbers, fiscal discipline and a new $1 coin commemorating America’s 250th anniversary. U.S. Wildland Fire Service Director Brian Fennessy discusses preparations for peak wildfire season, prevention and the government’s new approach to protecting communities, and Tunnel to Towers CEO Frank Siller looks ahead to the 25th anniversary of 9/11, shares the story of his brother FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller and discusses his new memoir, Let Us Do Good. The program closes with a special presentation of Scott’s speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas.
