‘You're The Only One I'm Looking For’ - Housefires

Listen to the song ‘You're The Only One I'm Looking For’ by Housefires and you’ll end up feeling blessed and renewed.

The song ‘You're The Only One I'm Looking For’ by Housefires is an uplifting song that is featured on the band’s album titled How To Start A Housefire as the eleventh melody.

The worship group Housefires was formed in 2014 and originated at Grace Midtown Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Their community-driven worship collective has created and produced many incredible songs over the years that have encouraged the body of Christ.

“There’s been one consistent question that we’ve gotten over the years of traveling to lead, sing and minister all over the world: how do I start a gathering like this?” says Nate Moore of Housefires.

“People are hungry to be a part of an authentic, free-spirited, Jesus-loving, fiery, worship community. This album captures the essence of what a “house on fire” type of worship community looks and feels like.”

Nate Moore continues to share about the band’s new album How To Start A Housefire: “We all long to belong somewhere – to be a part of something bigger and deeper than ourselves. Especially coming out of the pandemic, people are desperate to feel at home somewhere — to be seen, known, and loved by others who are pursuing similar passions and dreams.

This album provides a window into a community that has existed the better part of a decade – A place where anyone from anywhere can come and meet Jesus and feel at home with those on their left and their right.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to the song ‘You're The Only One I'm Looking For’ from the new album by Housefires today. May it uplift and encourage you and leave you praising the one true God.

Gaither Vocal Band Sings “Can't Help Falling In Love”

Enjoy this lovely performance by the Gaither Vocal Band as they sing “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

What a beautiful song it is—recorded originally by Elvis Presley in March 1961 and released in November of that same year. Here, the gentlemen of the Gaither Vocal Band sing the song for their lady loves and for the rest of us as well.

Todd Suttles opens the song. He looks to his wife, Michelle, as he sings. When he expresses the word “but” at 21 seconds, it’s easy to imagine his wife falling in love with that rich baritone voice!

By the fourth line, the other members add background vocals. They are, from right to left: Reggie Smith, Adam Crabb, Bill Gaither, and Wes Hampton. Across from the talented crooners sit their gorgeous wives, including Gloria Gaither and Ladye Love Smith

You might enjoy playing a match game with the group. But, just a hint, they are not all directly across from their spouses. If you find yourself stumped, go back and watch the first few seconds again as the camera pans in from a view of the pretty and inviting room where they gather.

I love the smiles that the gentlemen and ladies wear! This is a group who have committed their whole lives to praising and glorifying God! The two newest members of the group, Adam and Todd, joined the GVB in 2014; Reggie and Wes have been singing with the Gaither Vocal Band or other Gaither groups and ministries for much longer.

At 55 seconds, the men sing in unison, each adding their unique musical gifts to the song. Though it’s not a song about God, we certainly know that God is in favor of Godly marriage, Holy matrimony, and committed love. We’re betting that these couples are, too!

A perennial favorite at wedding receptions, here are four lines from the classic love song:

Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be

You might get goosebumps as Todd stands and sings directly to Michelle, asking in song for her to take his “hand” and his “whole life, too.” That’s what true love is all about. Taking another person’s hand and giving the best you have to give through the good and bad. But, there’s more! Do not exit early; the sweetest moment is yet to come!

Whether a courtship takes days or decades, is rushed or ruminated on, when God is in the relationship and the romance—well, that’s not foolish at all! Thank you, Gaither Vocal Band, for giving us such a sweet reminder of how awesome Christian love is!

“For the believing wife brings holiness to her marriage, and the believing husband brings holiness to his marriage. Otherwise, your children would not be holy, but now they are holy.” 1 Corinthians 7:14

'Forever And Ever Amen' Gaither Vocal Band Performance

You’ll want to listen to ‘Forever And Ever Amen,’ Gaither vocal band performance.

‘Forever And Ever Amen’ has been one of the most beloved country hits since its release in 1987 by beloved country artist Randy Travis. It became a staple love song in all households because it speaks to the love a man has for his wife and ties in the Lord.

The song was written by Paul Overstreet and Donschiltz and it became Travis’ third number-one single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. The beloved song became a cover for many artists, including Josh Turner who featured Randy Travis. Randy suffered a stroke in 2013 that rendered him voiceless for several years but he has recovered enough to sing a line to two. Besides Josh Turner’s rendition of the song, the Gaither vocal band has done a fantastic version of ‘Forever And Ever Amen.’

Gaither has been around almost as long as Randy Travis. They formed in 1990. They write that they have “served as a standard-bearer in the world of gospel music.” Gaither was founded by Bill Gaither, who is a legendary gospel songwriter.

Gaither has won multiple grammies, and they are known around the world for their performances at places like Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and the Sydney Opera House. Yet, over the years, the group has included vocals from Steen Green, Mark Lowry, Michael English, and David Phelps, just to name a few.

Currently, the band is comprised of Bill Gaither, Adam Cobb, Todd Suttles, Reggie Smith, and Wes Hampton. What is so incredible about this group is how they honor the Lord through their music and performances while sharing the message of hope, redemption, and amazing grace. If you haven’t listened to them before, you are in for a real treat. I guarantee you’ll be humming the tune for the rest of the day.

“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away,” 1 Corinthians 13:7-8.

‘Sunday’s Comin’’ Zach Williams Lyric Video

One catchy song encourages listeners to hold on and keep battling while facing difficult, seemingly overwhelming circumstances.

Life can be rather unpleasant at times. Hurdles and obstacles can crop up that seem overwhelming. It may get to the point where giving up and throwing in the towel is a much easier and more desirable option. But don’t give up, instead keep on going because something better is beyond the horizon!

In the song “Sunday’s Comin’” Zach Williams uses Christ’s death on the cross and his miraculous resurrection on Sunday to inspire and uplift listeners who may be enduring hardships.

In the first verse, he describes a situation that most people know all too well. Monday through Friday can often feel like a total and complete beat down. No matter what choice you make, it’s the wrong one. Those constant battles can weigh you down. It can get to the point where the pain is the only thing you feel, the song mentions.

However, giving up is not an option. Zach, in his song, sings that Christ, who endured a painful and undeserving death on the cross on Friday, eventually arose on Sunday. Yes, life may be beating us down, inflicting bruises and leaving scars, but holding on is the only way because hope is just beyond the horizon, Sunday is coming.

In the song’s chorus, Zach sings that Christ, who is ever faithful, remains by our side throughout our ordeal.

“Keep on holdin’ on there’s gonna be a breakthrough
If He can roll the stone
He can send the darkness runnin’
Might feel like Friday, but your Sunday’s comin’”

Yes, life can be brutal, cruel and downright awful but there is hope. Throughout God’s Word, it mentions that He will never leave us or forsake us. He is always faithful and loving, never allowing us to undergo a situation without his guidance and protection.

James 1:2-3 “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you undergo tests of every sort; because you have the knowledge that the testing of your faith gives you the power of going on in hope.”

Young Man Performs Stunning Rendition Of 'I Have Decided To Follow Jesus'

Check out this uplifting video of a young man performing a stunning rendition of ‘I Have Decided To Follow Jesus.’

“I have decided to follow Jesus; I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus; No turning back, no turning back.
Tho' none go with me, I still will follow, Tho' none go with me I still will follow,
Tho' none go with me, I still will follow; No turning back, no turning back.”

In the music video, a young man named Ximdrake Asidor is singing the hymn. He starts off driving up in a truck, and then gets out to pull a guitar out of the back of the vehicle.

Halfway through the music video, Luke 9:23-24 flashes across the screen: “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”

Ximdrake has a wonderful voice, and you can tell the passion that he has for the Lord while he is playing his guitar and singing. Ximdrake is part of the Asidor family, which is a Filipino family of singers that perform in different places, especially churches and religious gatherings.

As for the background of the hymn ‘I Have Decided To Follow Jesus,’ Baptist hymnologist William J. Reynolds describes the origins of the song: “This is a folk song that originated in India as a song of new converts to Christianity among the Garo tribe who live in an area which is now the state of Meghalaya, but was until 1970, the state of Assam, in northeastern India,” he says. “With two original stanzas and a third by John Clark, the melody was arranged by Reynolds and first published in Assembly Songbook.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this version of ‘I Have Decided To Follow Jesus’ today!

Trio Of Women Singing Chilling Rendition Of ‘Hallelujah’

Three women put their stunning voices on full display during a terrific performance of a beloved song from the 1980s.

Music is a very powerful medium in which to impart messages, ideas and feelings. Through its notes, chords, beats, music can cause listeners and performers to experience a whole host of emotions.

A clip posted on YouTube shows three women entering the stage, all wearing very similar, yet beautiful white dresses, as an orchestra plays the opening notes to Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Moments after arriving on stage, the three women – Carmen Monarcha, Carla Maffioletti and Mirusia Louwerse – begin belting out the lyrics to the song, according to the video’s description.

The three women sound outstanding as they sing to the massive crowd, who thoroughly enjoy the magnificent sounds coming from the stage. There are a few instances throughout the clip in which audience members are caught singing along, swaying and even dancing to the sweet music.

The song's lyrics, released in 1984, mention and allude to several central figures from the Bible. The song’s opening verse references David, a lowly shepherd who would go on to become king of Israel. “David played, and it pleased the Lord.”

In the opening lines of the second verse, the lyrics also reference the passages in 2 Samuel 11, when David spotted Bathsheba bathing one evening.

“You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew her”

A few lines later and the lyrics hint at Samson and Delilah, specifically when she cut his hair in the Old Testament book of Judges.

“She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and cut your hair”

Everyone on stage and all the people who make up the enormous audience are enjoying the show-stopping and dazzling performance of the song.

Psalm 135:3 “Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises to his name; for it is pleasant.”

How Merciful You Are

This is another song written by my mother Bea J.Verdi. I recorded it because I love it and want to share its message with everyone. Our Lord is so merciful! The song talks about the Lord's loving mercy and how we need it to wash over us and cleanse us!

How Shall I Praise You

This song was written by my mother Bea J. Verdi. It talks about the different ways in which we can give our praise to Jesus. It's a very powerful and uplifting song that helps us in offering praise to our Lord.

‘Blessed Assurance’ CAIN And David Leonard Live Performance

A group of talented Christian musicians joined forces for a stunning rendition of an old hymn.

“Amazing Grace,” “Great is Thy Faithfulness” and “How Great Thou Art” are all very recognizable and favorite hymns of many. All those hymns have been played in churches and other places of worship for decades.

However, another hymn that is just as and perhaps even more beloved is “Blessed Assurance.” In a video posted to YouTube, the group CAIN and singer David Leonard collaborated to produce a version of “Blessed Assurance.”

The performers beautifully sing the lyrics about their belief that Christ is their personal lord and savior and that He has changed their hearts and lives for the better.

Even before they begin singing, one of the female musicians informs the audience that the lyrics hold a special meaning to her.

“I’m gonna sing y'all my testimony tonight,” she says.

Not only do the singers mention their assurance that they are children of God, but they also sing about the peace and joy that comes from this knowledge.

“Perfect submission
Now, all is at rest
‘Cause I in my Savior
Oh, I am happy and blessed”

In addition to singing the beautiful lyrics about their trust, faith and belief in Christ’s life-changing and saving power, the musicians perform on a gorgeous stage. The stage, seen behind them, with its beige-colored walls and stained-glass windows conjures up images of a small, quaint church likely to be found in a rural setting.

After just a single listen to the old hymn, it’s clear why it remains a favorite of many. The lyrics are powerful, written in a way that feels personal and inspired by the Holy Spirit.

What a wonderful and powerful gift that we can know without a doubt that Christ has come in and completely changed our hearts and lives!

Hebrews 10:22 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
